Direct Air Systems was founded over 10 years ago to market services and products to the Food Service professionals, who design, purchase or install commercial cooking operations. DAS was a pioneer in “package” concepts of a complete system of captures hoods, fans and make-up air units to ensure the proper balance of all components.
Our ventilation systems have been designed with the economy of acquisition, operation costs, and employee comfort in mind. All components are carefully selected and recommended to meet those ends.
DAS has a wide range of products: hoods with proven air flows, tempered make-up air units, air handling devices, and absolute filtration systems. Our products are designed to promote fast and easy installation and maximum performance. We pride ourselves in our engineering knowledge, involvement with UL, ETL and CKV testing and evaluation labs.
Thousands of successful projects write our resume for us. Numerous applications and customers have benefited from the DAS system including: all style restaurants, country clubs, schools, health care facilities, food processing plants, industrial feeders, caterers, and prisons.
DAS has worked closely with Food Service Facility designers, architects and mechanical engineers to assure that all facets of a system will function successfully together. From the first layout we can assist in the product selection process using building parameters, codes, and budget considerations. Air volumes, duct sizes, make-up air, fan size and air conditioning needs can all be calculated to assist in the formulation of budgets and the operation of the system.
